What is imperialism?

Imagine a big wooden toy set that shows how some bosses try to own EVERYTHING! It all starts at the Home Base, that big castle where the boss lives with all their own toys and comfy chairs. Then, the boss goes on The Journey, TRAVELING far away in boats and planes because they want even more stuff than they already have. They find a New Land, which is a beautiful place where other people are already living and playing in their own homes. But then comes Taking Over, where the boss points and says 'MINE!' even though it wasn't theirs to begin with. That's not very nice, is it? Finally, they connect everything into The Empire, which is just one HUGE collection of lands all controlled by that same boss. It’s like a giant train set that keeps gettin' bigger and bigger!
