How are clouds formed?

Check out this vertical slice of the atmosphere to see how clouds are actually built! It all starts when the sun heats the ground, warmin' up the air until it's less dense than its surroundin's, causin' that WARM AIR to rise just like a hot air balloon. As it climbs higher, the atmospheric pressure drops, allowin' the air to expand and lose heat—a process called ADIABATIC COOLING. Once that air cools down enough, it hits the DEW POINT, which is the exact temperature where the water vapor is forced to transform from an invisible gas into liquid water droplets. But those droplets need a solid surface to grab onto, leadin' to NUCLEATION, where the vapor binds to tiny bits of floatin' dust or salt.
